YOUR OPTIONS FOR AN M.A. MASTER OF ARTS IN INTERMODAL EXPRESSIVE ARTS AT THE EXPRESSIVE ARTS INSTITUTE BERLIN IN COOPERATION WITH
THE EUROPEAN GRADUATE SCHOOL EGS
At the Expressive Arts Institute Berlin, three of the six M.A. Modules, Module K, Module F and Module P, and the M.A. Thesis work are offered in continuing seminars throughout the year.
The three M.A. Modules at the EGS in Switzerland are taught in 21 daylong summer residencies over the course of 3 years.
Master of Arts (M.A.) in Expressive Arts with a Minor in Psychology
This part-time Masters Program offers an interdisciplinary Study of health, illness, resilience and the Arts. Through its intermodal approach, Intermodal Expressive Arts Therapy integrates different Art modalities within a therapeutic context. Its roots are baled in philosophy, anthropology psychology and the Arts. Art -making facilitates change and empowers individuals to cope with challenging situations.
Students will learn the principles and practices of Intermodal Expressive Arts and
explore ways to use it in different therapeutic settings. They will spend three summers In residence in Saas-Fee" a breathtaking beautiful part of the Swiss Alps. Classes are a mixture of theory, practice and small group settings. The language of instruction is English.
This Program Is Ideal for professionals, artists and anyone who wants to engage with the Arts to work as change agents with clients. It uses the process of Art-making to irnprove the quality of life for people with disabilities, psychic disorders and disharmony in their personal life. Students will have the chance to study with the founders and pioneers of the Intermodal Expressive At Therapy. This Masters Degree is beneficial for those wanting to work in different health institutions, various adult's or children's prograrns as well as other therapeutic settings.
A bachelor's or B.A. equivalent and an admission interview are required for enrollment. The EGS gives transfer credits toward the Masters Degree to students who have undertaken Modules at Cooperating Institutes and Universities under the terms of the Bologna Educational Treaty.
This part-time Masters Program offers a Coaching and Consulting training with a focus on Intermodal Expressive Arts. An essential component of the Expressive Arts rne!hod Is the Intermodal Decentering IDEC ®, which turns the consulting process Into an efficient and profound experience. The Artwork itself is central to how the Coaching unfolds to find solutions, gain insight, widen perspectives and learn.
The curriculum is divided into continuing training with internships at local Cooperating Institutes and three summer residencies at the EGS Saas-Fee Campus. Saas-Fee is a breathtaking beautiful part of the Swiss Alps. The language of instruction is English.
Enrollment Is encouraged from professionals from the following fields: Coaching, Consulting, Therapy, Medical and Health Services, Education, Social Work, Arts and Arts Consulting, Special Education.

This Masters Program is a unique part-time three year low residency program concentrating on the use of creative methods through the Arts to address conflicts within teams, in communities, and cross cultures.
The program provides students with frameworks for merging the Arts with conflict analysis interventions, restorative justice, trauma awareness and healing, mediation, humanitarian response, and research.
The curriculum is divided into continuing Module K training at Cooperating Institutes, with internships at places of your choice, the 11 day EXIT program (Expressive Arts in Transition) in Malta and three summer residencies at the EGS Saas-Fee Campus. Artists, humanitarians, therapists, conflict transformation professionals, peace-builders and policymakers are encouraged to apply.
